Students in the Master in Public Affairs (MPAf), Development Management and Governance (DMG), and Development Studies programs of the UPLB College of Public Affairs and Development (CPAf) joined Assistant Professors Maria Luz L. Malabayabas and Aileen V. Lapitan, along with Teaching Fellow John Vincent Bucal in an organized visit and meeting with the 3rd district representative, Hon. Gabriel H. Bordado, Jr. of Camarines Sur at the House of Representatives on November 28, 2023.
This visit aimed to bring the classroom to the real-life venue of policymaking as part of the learning activities for the DM 220 course at CPAf, Public Policy and Program Administration for Development. There were 20 graduate students who joined this visit including the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) scholars in the DMG program and the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) MPAf cohort.
Congressman Bordado is also an alumnus of the MDMG program.
