CPAf Professors lead capacity building workshop for Philippine Navy

Dr. Maria Ana T. Quimbo, Dr. Ruth Ortega-Dela Cruz, and aProf. Ephraim C. Quiñones led the capacity building workshop for the Philippine Navy on October 24-26, 2018 at Fleet Training and Doctrines Center, Naval Base in Sangley Point, Cavite City. Selected personnel from the Philippine Navy participated in this Human Resource Development Course on “Instructional Strategies and Assessment Techniques.”

The workshop aimed to equip the Philippine Navy instructors with knowledge, skills, and the right attitude in teaching by imparting in them the various theories of teaching and learning, emerging and innovative teaching approaches, strategies, methods as well as assessing and evaluating student learning. 

A total of 25 delegates, who are teaching in various navy schools including Fleet Warfare School, Offshore Combat Force, Sealift Amphibious Force, Littoral Combat Force, Submarine Group, Naval Air Group, Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Center, and Fleet Support Force participated in the workshop. 

Dr. Dela Cruz said that “it was indeed a great honor and a meaningful learning experience to lead this group of active participants who have the passion and will power to serve by providing quality education to our new generation of learners who will be the future armed forces of the country.”
