The College of Public Affairs and Development has earned a new laurel in its drive towards becoming a world-class graduate and research college, as CPAf has officially been admitted as an associate member of the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA).

In its website, NASPAA is described as a “membership organization of graduate education programs in public policy, public affairs, public administration, and public and nonprofit management.” It describes itself as “the global standard in public service education.” It is based at Washington, D.C. in USA.

CPAf’s inclusion in the list of NASPAA associate members was made through the efforts of Dean Virginia R. Cardenas, Prof. Maria Ana T. Quimbo, Prof. Josefina T. Dizon, and Prof. Agnes C. Rola. The College’s associate membership status is effective November 1, 2016 until June 30, 2017.

Aside from CPAf, NASPAA’s associate members include Babes Bolyai University in Romania, Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration in Switzerland, University of Hong Kong, Colorado Technical University, Delaware Valley University, Metropolitan State University in Minnesota, St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, and the University of Louisiana at Monroe, to name a few.
